50th Anniversary Book

Broadcast message sent to all Centennial College staff --
with the permission of Rosanna Cavallaro, AVP Marketing and Communications:

Did you know that Centennial College published two special books to mark the college's 50th anniversary this fall? We are delighted to offer for purchase the books that were unveiled at our Fifty Years Bolder celebration on October 28. This is your opportunity to acquire these fabulous books! All proceeds from their sale will be directed towards our 50th Anniversary Scholarship Fund to benefit Centennial students.

No Parrots in Space!      is a children’s book that celebrates Centennial’s 50 years of fostering learning experiences, inspiring creativity and opening doors. Story Arts Centre students, working alumni, faculty and staff joined together in an experiential learning journey to create this compelling story.

This beautifully illustrated children's story features Ali, who learns from his new classmate, Neelu, that life is richer when everyone is open to new ideas. Ali’s transition from excluding to including underlines Centennial’s mission as a place of learning that promotes diversity and inclusivity. This book makes a great holiday gift for youngsters on your list!

$10 each (includes taxes)

Fifty Years Bolder      is the title of our commemorative 50th anniversary coffee-table book, chock full of photos that chronicle Centennial's growth as the province's first College of Applied Arts and Technology, established by former Education Minister Bill Davis in 1966. The book takes you on a journey from our humble beginnings in a mothballed factory on Warden Avenue, through the smoky haze of the 1970s, the success of cooperative Business programs in the 1980s, and the expansion of the Centennial College brand worldwide in the 2000s.

Enjoy the 230 carefully selected photos (96-page book) that tell our story and document our phenomenal growth over six distinct decades. The book includes reminiscences by Justice Marvin Zuker, Richard Johnston, Dave Samalea and Ann Buller. This nicely bound hardcover book is a keepsake that will grace your bookshelf for years to come.

$25 each (includes taxes)

Welcome to the new CCRA website!

Yvonne and I want to thank you for your patience over the past few months as we have been working very hard to get our CCRA website moved from the Centennial server to our new location.  Yvonne and I have had to learn how to design, upload and edit ALL the material from the old site to the new one.  We are pleased with the layout and hope you are too. Please take your time to look it over, and send your comments and any editing recommendations to us at ccrawebmaster2014@gmail.com .
The Gallery of Photos from the AGM's and Luncheons is a nostalgic trip back in time; it is wonderful to browse through and laugh at our own changes as well as to fondly remember those wonderful colleagues who are no longer with us.

Enjoy!
