Scholarships Awarded and the Recipients
In 2008, the CCRA Board set up a scholarship for students returning to school. The CCRA award was given to a student who has been out of school for one year and who has returned to complete a ministry approved post-secondary full-time program and who has achieved a B average.

At that time, it was decided that subject to available finances, CCRA donate a $12,500 scholarship in 2009 as a one- time contribution towards an endowed scholarship with criteria as discussed. The government matched this amount with the same grant of an equal value of $12,500.

The total value of the CCRA scholarship is $25,000 with the interest allowing the scholarship to be self-supporting. CCRA was recognized for its donation at Student Awards night.

Donor Wall Unveiling

Donor Wall EventToronto, May 1, 2013   Centennial College unveiled its unique Donor Wall at Progress Campus on April 29, recognizing the many forms of giving the college has received in the past from individual donors, corporations and community groups, as well as from its own employees and retirees.  CCRA President Robyn Knapp attended the wondeful event on behalf of the CCRA.  The CCRA has been donating scholarhips for a few years.
The debut of the Donor Wall was attended by 175 guests from a wide variety of backgrounds, all of whom shared one distinct attribute: they ve all donated to Ontario s first college.
Centennial College President and CEO Ann Buller, along with Board of Governors Chair David Sloan, warmly welcomed guests and acknowledged their contributions during an evening ceremony that marked the beginning of a concerted effort by the college to celebrate its many donors and gifts.
The large wall, which was installed on an enclosed pedestrian bridge connecting two campus buildings, consists of a stylized world map overlaid with Plexiglas panels that show the names of both individual and organizational donors. An interactive flat-panel touch screen also displays all the donors  names to date, organized by their level of giving.
Fittingly, Chris Wiegand, a Centennial College graduate, designed the interactive touch screen component of the Donor Wall. His company, Jibestream, is rapidly making a name for itself as a digital wayfinding company.
The Donor Wall installation at Progress Campus is the first of four planned walls. The college intends to unveil a new wall at each of its campuses over the next three years. Centennial also plans to announce its first major fundraising campaign this fall.
